How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

Why, a woodchuck could chuck 700 lbs. of wood if a wood chuck could chuck wood. Woodchucks have been known to chew on wood. Though not as much as a beaver. A biologist once wondered that same ? and when looking at a groundhog a hole he estimated that 700 lbs of wood would fill that hole. If you've ever wondered what the difference is between a woodchuck and a groundhog...the answer is ----nothing. The two different names for the animal Marmota monax. I bet you also never knew that the closest animal to a woodchuck is a squirrel. Woodchucks can climb trees and they can swim in water. There also has never been such a thing as woodchuck fur coats. Indians did have woodchuck moccasins.
