School (sorry to scare you)

Today at school a teacher asks me why my family's going on vacation just before school's almost over. I simply said, "It's Memorial day.", but I think I should have said something like, "Why does everything have to be centered around school? I understand the importance of an education, but why keep learning if you don't get a chance to use it. Aren't our families far more important than what textbooks say? It also reminds me of how God isn't allowed in schools. So because the minority doesn't believe that God exists were supposed to descrimate against the majority? Why do people think the Big Bang Theory is real when it's still only a theory? If we are always learning in school, then we never have time to use what we learn and therefore, school has no point. If we constantly prepare for what we will do ten years from now, and ten years from now we are still preparing for the future than aren't we wasting the present time. I'm not saying we shouldn't do any preparing because I remember the story of the ant an the grasshopper. The ant survived because it was prepared, but at some point we need to step back and take a break because that's why we prepared, so we could survive. The ant took a break all winter, so why can't. We learn so much more important things when we are out of school. You can try to teach someone how to act in school, but it doesn't work unless they take the time to try it for themselves. Most of the time when people asked me where I learned something I don't say Language Arts 7. I usually say I read in on the internet or someone told me or on tv. So basically what I'm saying is school isn't the center of our lives, but rather something on the outside that helps us with what is the center of ourlives. You can't live for the outside because it's not the most important thing. Live for God because God is the center of our lives and he will be hear forever. We will probably forget what we learned in school, but God won't be forgotten.

  • It's hard to take the time to think about your life and not just let it float on by.
It almost makes me sad when I realize that I'll never be able to do something again. Sometimes its something dumb, like this past Christmas was my last Christmas as a kid. We all focus and get stressed out about stuff that is never going to even matter....so yeah. I'm in a typing mood.

  • the most important part that I forgot to mention was that when you think that time is going by so fast, you should try to remember that what your life is moving so quickly toward? Heaven.
